It is not a secret that exchange rate of US dollar compare to Russian ruble has tremendously dropped down last year. Families who traveled in the beginning of the year 2007 remember time when they could exchange one dollar for 30-32 rubles. Right now the exchange rate is 24-24.5 rubles per dollar and it continues to decrease. Agency pays all of the in-country expenses in local currency - rubles. We have no choice but to reflect this reality. Starting in 2008, we will implement the adjustment of rate fee of $1,000 for all families who have applied prior to December 31, 2007. This is less than 9% of the international fees, even the exchange rate increased by more than 20% since January 01, 2006. This adjustment will be calculated in your final fees.
